Prophetic Words...Angelic Visitation...and the Manifestation of the Glory of God

This Christmas, get lost in the wonder of Christ! Stand in awe of Jesus! Remember the Word of the Lord spoken through the prophet Isaiah over 700 years before the birth of Christ. “The Lord Himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14) “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) Micah prophesied, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from old, from everlasting!” (Micah 5:2)

The first word the angel said when he appeared to the virgin Mary was… ”Rejoice...the Lord is with you!” (Luke 1:28) Do we rejoice at the presence of the Lord? Then, the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God!...For with God nothing will be impossible!” (Luke 1:30-37) HALLELUJAH!!

I love the first 5 words of Luke chapter 2. It says, “And it came to pass...!”

We do have a “prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to take heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.” (2.Peter 1:19)
