"I am only a wick. With many of us it takes a long time to learn this lesson. It is only when the wick is soaked in oil that it can burn. If you wish for the fullness of the Spirit order that your church should be crowded or people flock to hear you, the Holy Spirit cannot work through you. If people begin to talk about the wick, this is generally something wrong with the burning." ~James A. Stewart

You're only a wick!
"I am only a wick. With many of us it takes a long time to learn this lesson. It is only when the wick is soaked in oil that it can burn. If you wish for the fullness of the Spirit order that your church should be crowded or people flock to hear you, the Holy Spirit cannot work through you. Are you ashamed of Jesus?
Are you afraid of getting labeled "a little too radical for Christ?" Do you fear what man may think or say about you? Do you find yourself saying, or maybe singing, "What would people think if they found out I'm a Jesus freak?" Jesus said, "Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the Holy angels." (Mark 8:38) It's time to shift gears and say, "I don't really care, if they label me a Jesus freak!!" Paul said, "I'm a fool for Christ!" Whose fool are you? Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes!" (Romans 1:16) O my brother, my sister, it is time to fan into flame the gift of God that is in you!! It is time for the church to get a serious case of heart burn for Jesus!! O to see more and more hearts ablaze with passion for Jesus! O Lord ~ Send the Fire!!

Keep your lamps trimmed and burning bright!
"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning; and you yourselves be like men who wait for their master, when he will return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they may open to him immediately. Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching.... Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect!" ~Luke 12:35-40
